The El Rancho Vegas was the first hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Located at the southwest corner of Sahara and Las Vegas Boulevard, it opened on April 3, 1941, and operated for 19 years until it was destroyed by a fire on June 17, 1960. This airmail envelope is from resort's Executive Office and measures 9-1/2 x 4-1/4". (Please be sure to see our other El Rancho Vegas items.)
